Digital Inclusion for Peace grant – Peace Direct

AfriNov, a leading not-for-profit organization working in partnership with grass-root communities on nonviolent training and campaigning in Kenya and Africa. AfriNov received a $750 Digital Inclusion for Peace grant on 18th June 2020. The grant was endowed by Peace Direct.

The goal of the grant is to support local peace-builders help their communities access the technologies they need to continue building peace. The grant was allocated to the Programs and Communications departments for the acquisition of LED projector which will support peace-building training for community groups and organizations. The grant also supported the upgrade of our organization website www.afrinov.org, an important platform for communication and dissemination of peace-building stories and training tools and manuals.

The AfriNov family would like to thank Peace Direct for this timely grant during the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant will go a long way in empowering the voices of local vulnerable people working to build peace and help them adapt the peace-building work to meet the changing environment.
